Lewisburg Weather
is made up of four seasons. The town is located in Greenbrier County, which is in the southeastern corner of West Virginia. Farms and forests comprise 95% of the county's 1,026 square miles. A series of steep, parallel ridges and narrow valleys makes up the eastern part of the county, which is primarily woodlands, and a rolling limestone valley crosses the central part of the county (northeast to southwest) at an elevation of about 2,000 feet. A cool, rugged, mountainous area with deep gorges, rushing mountain streams, and elevations over 4,000 feet dominates the western part of the county. Prevailing westerly winds bring lower temperatures and more precipitation to the west end. The eastern part of the county is generally drier and warmer. The area has four distinct seasons, but extremes generally associated with summer and winter are infrequent. January is the coldest month and receives the most snow.
